Monday:

PE: Fizzy Programme

Maths: Watch the video about 2D shapes. Can you find examples of 2D shapes around the house? Write down the examples that you find.

Media: Advert research.

Tuesday:

Outdoor Learning: Use your senses (touch, smell, taste, sight, hearing) to complete a scavenger hunt around your home or garden.

Life Skills: Help around the house by completing tasks – practice making your bed, wash up, help make meals in the kitchen, practice tying your shoelaces. What else jobs can you help with?

Topic: Make a scrapbook of Second World War images and write captions for each one. Consider how the people in the photographs may be feeling – this can be done on a computer if you don’t have a printer.

Wednesday:

Food Technology: Instructions to make toast.

Maths: Shape patterns – play the game on Top Marks to complete patterns. Can you make your own patterns using shapes and objects within your home? Describe the properties of shapes to an adult or your brother or sister. How many sides and corners are there?

English: Practice reading, matching and spelling the 100 frequency words.

Topic: Dress up as an evacuated child. Make a gas mask box and write an evacuee label showing your name, address and school. Ask someone to take a photograph. If you can, printing it with a sepia effect would make it look more authentic!

Thursday:

Magpie - Thursday - English

Watch Newsround https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/news/watch_newsround (https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/news/watch_newsround) (or broadcast on CBBC at 8.15am and 4.15pm) and tell someone at home about what is in the news. Ask them to quiz you if they watched with you. Or, if you want a challenge, quiz them.

Talk to the adults at home about how it has felt to be in lockdown again. What have you enjoyed? What has been hard?
Write a list to bring to school tomorrow. The Title is Lockdown Life. The headings are;
Things I liked
Things I did not like
Things I am looking forward to at school
Things I am not looking forward to at home.

Try to think of at least 3 things for each category.

Magpie - Thursday - Art

Try to make some snowflakes. Develop your copy drawing skills and cutting skills. If you have a printer, draw the snowflakes on the attachment. If there is no printer at home, follow the instructions to make snowflakes.
Ask adults to help you when using scissors.
